What is Myrtle Waves?

Myrtle Waves is South Carolina's largest water park with over 30 slides and attractions and 1.2 million gallons of water. There are several options for lunch and fun snacks including Funnel Cakes, Pizza and Ice Cream, as well as souvenirs in our Tropical Trading Post.

When is Myrtle Waves open?

Our full operating calendar is located on the Park information page of this website. But generally we are open Mid May till Mid September.

How do I get directions to Myrtle Waves?

We are located on Hwy 17 Bypass at 10th Ave. North in Myrtle Beach.

Do you offer group rates?

Yes we do. Groups of 15 or more qualify for discounts off regular priced admissions. Call 843.918.8725 for more information. We customize school, church, youth and all other events.

What time does your Twilight Special/Afternoon Admissions begin?

Afternoon Admission will begin at 3:00pm daily. These passes can only be purchased at the main gate or through this website.

How can I pay for admission?

We accept Cash, traveler's checks, and Visa/MasterCard/Discover & American express & Myrtle Waves Gift Cards. You must have a valid photo ID to pay with traveler's check or credit card.

Can I bring my own tubes or rafts?

Guests may not bring any recreational flotation devices into the park, however life jackets are provided free of charge.

Can I bring a picnic?

Myrtle Waves provides a picnic area outside of the main entrance of the park. Guests are able to enjoy their picnic in this area but are not allowed to bring any outside food or beverage into the facility.

Can we leave and re-enter the park in the same day?

Yes. As long as you have your hand stamp or wristband.

Do you offer food specials or catering to accommodate groups?

Where are the best places to play with my toddler in the park?

Bubble Bay and Saturation Station are our two most popular attractions for small children and have been designed with the toddler's age and skill in mind.

What if there is bad weather on the day of my visit?

It is advised that you check the local forecast for the Myrtle Beach area prior to your visit. Myrtle Waves Water Park does not close slides due to rain, however in the event of thunder and lightning, attractions will be temporarily closed. Since the water park will remain open, even on rainy days, we do not offer any refunds or rain checks. Please keep in mind that if inclement weather is expected for the entire day, Myrtle Waves Water Park reserves the right to not open the facility.

What is the best time to visit Myrtle Waves?

Sundays are by far the slowest day for the water park and will forward you the greatest opportunity to ride the greatest amount of slides of any other day of the week.

What do I do if my party gets separated?

It is imperative that each family establish a meeting point for family and friends. It is also recommended that younger children be shown the Guest Services building upon entry into the park, as this is where any lost parents or lost children should report to be re-united with their family. However, any Myrtle Waves team member may be approached and will assist in locating lost family or friends.

What about Water Safety?

Myrtle Waves is staffed with over 100 specially trained, award winning life guards. While it is the duty of the guards to ensure the safety of all guests, we ask that parents please be mindful of their children and family members at all times. Ride safety rules are posted at each pool and slide and we request that each guest review these thoroughly. Additionally, life jackets are provided throughout the park and there use is encouraged to provide additional safety.

What’s the parking situation like?

We have ample parking for all vehicles including motor coaches. Parking is free of charge.
